Study trip of the DLG e.V. - German Agricultural Society Committee for Operations Management to Israel
Innovation, pragmatism and solution-oriented optimization approaches beyond the national horizon - the 2023 study trip of the DLG e.V. - German Agricultural Society Committee for Operations Management this time led to innovative Israel around Tel Aviv and the Negev desert. In addition to the framework conditions for #startups, #agtech and #foodtech, the focus was also on the application potentials for innovative drip irrigation, alternative or cultivated protein sources #cultivatedmeat and the success criteria of successful #Milchproduktion under heat and drought with Jonathan Amir with the contributions of Miloubar and Hachaklit. The challenges with regard to #Nachhaltigkeit, #Klimawandel and disruptive transformation processes could thus be analysed and discussed with leading experts for DLG. Pragmatic approaches to complex issues serve as inspiration for the upcoming challenges of #Landwirtschaft. Many thanks to the partners Volcani Institute with Shemer Topper, Netafim in Hatzerim, as well as Steakholder Foods, Believer Meats, Prof. Dr. Nick Lin-Hi in the Israel Export Institute מכון היצוא and Dr. Maike Thier-Seidenfaden from the German Embassy in Aviv. Special thanks also go to Dr. Besmira Sinanaj from the Israel Economic & Trade Mission, Germany and Catharina Thordsen from the DLG specialist centre, who supported me as managing director of the committee and the chairs Ulrich Wagner in the organisation/coordination on site. Hubertus Paetow, Lothar Hövelmann, Carl-Albrecht Bartmer, René Döbelt, Anna Catharina Voges, Miloubar.
